Refund policy

Cancellation, Refund & Weather Policy

At Big Day Celebrations and Events, we dedicate significant time, design expertise, and capital to prepare for your specific event long before the installation date. Because our services are highly customized, we enforce the following policies to protect our operational overhead while remaining fair to our clients.

1. Non-Refundable Retainer (Deposit)

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit/retainer is required to officially secure your date on our calendar.

  • Chargeback Protection Notice: This 50% deposit does not merely reserve a calendar slot; it directly covers immediate backend expenses, including custom graphic design work, structural planning, administrative overhead, and the ordering of specialized wholesale materials (balloons, custom vinyl, framing) dedicated exclusively to your event. By paying this deposit, the client explicitly agrees that these custom services are rendered immediately upon payment.

2. Completed Installations & Setups

  • All completed installations and setups are 100% final and non-refundable.

  • Once our team has arrived on-site, inflated materials, and built your backdrop or balloon display, the contract is considered completely fulfilled. No refunds or partial charge-reversals will be issued under any circumstances following the physical installation of the display.

3. Inclement Weather & Outdoor Events (Rain Checks)

  • No refunds are issued due to inclement weather. This includes rain, high winds, extreme heat, or snow that may impact outdoor setups.

  • The Rain Check Guarantee: If severe weather threatens the safety or structural integrity of an outdoor installation, Big Day Celebrations and Events will issue a Rain Check Credit equal to the full value of your final setup cost.

  • This Rain Check credit is valid for up to one (1) calendar year from the original event date and can be applied toward any future installation, indoor venue transfer, or rescheduled celebration, subject to our calendar availability.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Timelines

  • Cancellations made MORE than 14 days prior to the event: The 50% deposit remains non-refundable. No administrative cancellation fees will apply.

  • Cancellations made WITHIN 14 days of the event: The entire order balance is non-refundable, as materials have already been cut, inflated, or pre-assembled specifically for your custom layout. At the sole discretion of management, a Rain Check credit may be offered for a future date, or a $35 cancellation fee will be applied to process the account closure.
